Iran short film ‘Oblivion’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the Directed by Women Film Festival in Turkey.
‘Oblivion’ is to attend the competition section of the Turkish film event.
Produced by Iranian Youth Cinema Society, the short film depicts the challenges facing old people.
“Old people are passed into oblivion when their loved ones forget about them,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The film won the Second Best Film award at the 2nd Shahu International Film Festival in India and the Best Short Film Cultural Diversity award at the 2019 edition of the Setting Sun Film Festival in Australia.
The film has also attended several global events, including the Phoenix Film Festival, the Buffalo International Film Festival, the Post Alley Film Festival, all in the US, as well as the Mercy to Universe International Short Film Competition in Turkey.
The 2019 edition of the Directed by Women Film Festival is slated for September 13-15, Istanbul, Turkey.
